PRIVACY NOTICE
PRIVACY
NOTICE
effective 13 July 2026
Anywhere Here is a taxi game for iPhone, made by one person (Simon Maddox). This notice explains what the game does with data. The short version: there are no accounts, no adverts, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. The game does not want to know who you are.
LOCATION
The game asks for location permission so it can place your car on the map of your real town. Saying no is fine: the game is fully playable without it and simply starts you in a covered town instead.
If you allow location, your position is used on the device to work out which map tiles to load, and the game requests those tiles from our map-data servers. A tile request identifies an area of the map, not you: it carries no name, identifier or account, because the game has none of those things. Like almost every service on the internet, our server infrastructure (Cloudflare) records standard technical logs — the IP address a request came from and the tile it asked for — used only to operate and protect the service. These logs are never linked to an identity, never used for tracking, advertising or profiling, and never sold or shared.
The background map imagery is drawn by Apple Maps (MapKit), which Apple provides under Apple's privacy policy.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Your progress — earnings, driver rating, upgrades, and the game's memory of your rides and regulars — is stored on your device only. Deleting the app deletes it. There is no copy anywhere else.
GAME CENTER
Leaderboards and achievements use Apple's Game Center, which is optional and controlled by your device settings. Scores you submit are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; the game receives no Game Center account data.
RIDER DIALOGUE
On devices that support Apple Intelligence, rider dialogue is rephrased by Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework. This happens entirely on your device; nothing is sent to any server. On other devices the game shows its built-in written lines.
CHILDREN
The game collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
CHANGES
If any of this changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised.
